Professional Accomplishments: Earned the designation as Certified Wound Specialist in 2009; Implemented and lead the inpatient and outpatient orthopedic team at a large hospital corporation. This program was awarded Disease Specific Certification by the Joint Commission for Spine Care, Total Shoulder, Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.
Clinical Interests: Musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, balance/coordination disabilities and high level neurological diagnoses.
Personal Interests: Has completed 4 full marathons, multiple half marathons and various triathlons. Enjoys staying fit and spending time with family.
Karen Roeming, OT, MA, CHT

Professional Accomplishments: Completed research for "Early Mobilization of Extensor Tendon Lacerations in Zones III & IV" in 1990 and presented at National Conference Scientific Session in 1991.
Served on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Hand Therapists. Served as President and Education Chair for the Texas Society of Hand Therapists. Served as board member for Hand Therapy Recertification Commission and as item writer for the Hand Therapy Certification Exam. She was the co-founder of the DFW Hand Therapy society, speaker at TOTA, AOTA, TSHT, ASHT and DFW Hand Therapy Society educational meetings. Active member of AOTA, TOTA, ASHT, TSHT, and DFW Hand Therapy Society.
Personal Interests: Running, sewing, reading, singing, repeat missionary to Bo, Sierra Leone Africa. Involved in teaching Sunday School, Youth sponsor, Board of Trustees, Missions Committee. Started the Run for Rescue 5k and 1 mile event in 2010 and directed the Sponsor-a-Child program for the Child Rescue Center in Sierra Leone, Africa.

Personal Interests: Outside of the clinic, Natalie enjoys bike riding, jogging, running her side business, cooking with her husband, and playing tickle monster with her three children.

Clinical Interests: Dr. Heisey has worked in the pediatric setting since graduating in 2009. Her clinical experience includes working in both the outpatient and home health settings. Her specialties include developmental delay, neurological disorders and coordination/strength impairments.
Personal Interests: In her free time, Emily enjoys playing dress up with her two little girls Hannah and Heidi and serving at her church. Emily's husband is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
